Hey guys! I’m Jo….well Joanne if you’re mad at me….and I’m a wife to a saint of a man and a mother to a talented, director daughter, as well as two big dogs. My dad also lives with us but my mom is the one credited with my obsession with thrifting, junking, just creating in general. She took me to garage sales when I was little, well more like dragged me at first, then I finally came to appreciate thrifting when my husband and I got married and we had no money to decorate our house. I loved that when our family and friends visited they always thought we spent retail on everything! Of course, I laughed and proceeded to tell them how much I really paid for it….well, most of the time. (I may have bitten my tongue when certain people came to our house)
I love, love, love curating things into vignettes and over the years I realized that I should do what I love but for other people, mainly because I was running out of room….and that’s saying something because we have a pretty large house that has been in my family for 5 generations!
The items in my shop are a reflection of how I decorate our home so going by everyone’s comments I think you’ll feel like you’re wrapped in the coziest, snuggliest quilt when you’re shopping at Devils in the Details. I’ll do my very best to style each item so that you can imagine it telling a story in your home and with some designing that’ll make you forget you’re on a budget!
